I apologize in advance, but I have just placed the above named thread into the moderated queue.

I was advised by a credible source that some of the points of discussion could have unintended negative repercussions which are more serious than some of our usual baseball discussions. I can't offer a more detailed explanation at this time, but please be patient while I ask some advice and sort this out.

Good decision. I was reading through the thread when it actually disappeared and I wondered what was up. I cannot say I am surprised. I have mixed feelings about the topic -- and I certainly do not believe the military academies exist for baseball or football or any other sport. My brother, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a retired Navy captain, probably shares the same mixed feelings. But, regardless of point of view, the discussion that I read could only have led to lots of ill will -- as was clearly the case.
