I just found this video on Facebook from ESPN and found it interesting. The Lakie Erie Crushers are out of Ohio and play in the Frontier League which is independent baseball. I had the opportunity this summer to work with another team in the Frontier League and the league is something special. For many of these guys, the Frontier League is the beginning of the end.

This video is not quite what it sounds like and I was surprised when I clicked the link. The situation and the video really shows what the Frontier League is all about. I found this story very neat.

Bulldog,

You might not know this, but Josh is the son of one of our long-time members, FrankF. Here is a recent very popular (and long-running) thread about Josh's adventures:

And a link to the video you showed above, but this one is in a standard ESPN video page:
Glory Days

Great story, isn't it!

Amazing story. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes is "If your ship does not come in, swim out to meet it"

I know many people say that Athletes are not role models.....they should all meet Josh.

Wonderful story and video.
That is what life is all about. BB may not be his final career but he has made his mark on people that will not be forgotten.
What more really can one ask for?
