I am sitting here watching it and I am going to ask you guys something that I have wondered about for years - why do divers take a shower and get into a pool after they dive?

Obviously there is a valid reason for it but for the life of me I cannot figure out what it is.

They take a shower to wash off the chlorine from the pool and to warm up as the shower is warm.

Spizzlepop - I think this is the guy who had to clean up the algae so they could do the rowing events. Pretty funny pic.

Well they are in the pool so much that it adds up if not washed off. My wife an ex swimmer says the main reason to warm up and keep muscles loose as the pool is cool.
