You forgot Sun-times first team all-state and Tribune first team Todd Schultz,Todd had one of the best avg in the state, and will be a very good highschool pitcher next year. He hits for power, scored over 60 runs yes 60.last year hit 8 hr,drove in 50 rbi's,hit over 520,and was 9-2 as a pitcher for just an avg team!

Re Todd Schultz...Heard from his dad and then saw it on the website.

He's been a terrific player in high school and all during the summertime for many, many years.

I think Todd Schultz is the best all-around player in Illinois. Best Hitter, and was very good on the mound.

When we saw schultz in the summer this year...and yes i know it was the summer!!!...we (LT) only saw fastballs. was he not pitching to his potential? cause i very highly doubt he went 9-2 with only a fastball.

I think Todd is a fastball/slider type pitcher.

I don't think that he is likely to pitch at UIC.

Number one guy I would want on my team is Schultz...but a player who is in the top 5 that I want on my team is joe dunnigan. Last year he hit around .400 with 40 walks and around 20 sb's. Only people that ever went right after joe was caleb fields, shed mossman and very few others. This yeah teams are going to have to pitch to him.

johnj...Why are they going to have to pitch to him?

If he has no one in the lineup to protect him, he'll get nothing to hit. That is what happened to him last year when they played Prov. Then he'll start pressing and going after pitches that he wouldn't go after except for the fact that he'll walk 2 times each game and that means very little with 1st base open and runners on base.

Happened quite a bit last year to someone I know very well.

last year no one was there to back him up but this year there is. Out of the 9 starting position players (including DH) 7 are back. (the 1 hitter and the 5 hitter graduated.) We have had very young teams the past 2 years and now we are more experienced. People will still walk Joe simply becuase hes joe. but this year unlike last year we will be able to make them pay. That is the factor that will determine how many walks he will get and I think we will be able to keep the walk number lower this year.

I feel Tom Dore and Ryan Gryzwa will help Dunnagan get pitched to more, those 2 guys can hit.

we switched up are lineup at the end of the year and our new 4 hitter did a very good job his name is stocker, he will be batting in the 4 spot behind joe, followed by oneil and dore (oneil had the best year offensively out of this years jr's) and gryzwa will bat in front dunnigan in the two spot

I see in the Tribune that they list Dunnigan's high school as Brother Rice... is that a typo or did he leave St. Agy?
