Does anyone have any experience with this camp? My son will be attending the KU Jayhawk camp July 28 - August 1. Just wondering what to expect and how to survive. I know it can get very hot in Kansas that time of the year. The neat thing is my son gets to stay in Naismith Hall, which is where I lived when I went to KU. Thanks.

Can't offer much, but yes, it will be hot. He should have a great time.

Thanks Osage and 316Sports. I never thought to realize that Naismith would have some wear and tear. It makes perfect sense since it has been a few years since I lived there!

My family and I visited the KU campus last summer and we took a look at Hoglund park. It is beautiful! When I went to KU, the field just had a couple of bleachers and now it is like a mini stadium. It should be lot of fun for the kids to play there. I am glad they play games at night since it can get very hot in the day. My son is really looking forward to going to this camp.

Mizzou, I see this is your first posting. Normally I would welcome someone new to this board. However, you chose to write something that is rather insulting. I hope you go do some soul searching before your next posting.

Read the last line of my post. It was a joke. I would think any Division 1 school would put on a great baseball camp.

I would expect a similar response from you if I talked about sending my son to Mizzou's basketball camp. Lighten up.

Imagine that! A Mizzou guy and a Jayhawk getting into a little throw-down!! I'm totally neutral here fellas... Both programs are top-notch right now. coaches Price and Jamison (did i get that right?) have done tremendous jobs... he'll have fun at that camp and yes, he'll sweat because it's hot in both Missouri and Kansas Smile

My son really enjoyed the camp. He had a great time, learned some skills, and made new friends from Kansas and across the country. I would definitely recommend this camp. In addition to the KU staff, there were coaches there from about 20 other colleges at all levels to coach and instruct the kids. My son received an objective evaluation that will help him target which level he can play at as well as what he can do to improve his game.

My parents, brothers, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews all got to see my son play for the first time. My parents went to all of his games, and that is priceless. My son even brought me home a KC Royals fitted cap! Now if I can get him to wear his Royals hat instead of that Yankees hat, things will be going in the right direction!
