Silky-smooth and polished pitcher for Minooka and Top Tier signed with Big 10 powerhouse Minnesota Wednesday. He throws gas and has a nasty deuce and was clocked consistently at 90 MPH or better last summer.

Congrats Gary
See you this summer and tell Russ o Russ to do what he did against us and beat Carmel.

Benny...Thanks for the info.

I was at a showcase where I saw Gary touch 90. He cruised at 86-88. He'll be devastatingly effective when he learns to throw a change.

Pitched for Upper Deck in Arizona and Georgia in the summer of 2002. Memories forever etched in my mind when I went to the mound as Gary was pitching against the San Diego Gamers that had Matt Bush, Chris Jones and Henry Santiago on the team.

Nice kid. Nice talent. Minnesota is a nice "fit" for him.

Happy to see that he's staying local so I'll be able to see him pitch a couple of times each spring. I'm sure that his dad is happy, too.

Congrats, Gary.

Gary...Your teammate, Peter Wolff of Lake Forest has signed with Michigan State. Erik Cordier has signed with North Carolina State. Ryan will announce in mid-December. Not sure where Danny Wells is going. Todd Schultz is nearing a decision. Griff, off course, is at Emory. Trader is still playing football without a helmet. Brian Friday signed with Rice. Will McDAniel has signed with Rice. Rusty is still surfing in the Pacific and undecided. Austin Baker has switched schools and is now a junior stud-muffin in Oklahoma. Aaron Henry is a sprinter in Nevada and I'm sending his Arizona t-shirt to him this weekend. Haven't heard where Landon Gray from Georgia is headed. Justin Overturf is ready to take on the world and protect 'ole JP. Grant Taylor is undecided.

Man, how did I screw up that talent?

Congrats to everyone!

HitThis, no, I'm not familiar with Paul Dean. Why, is he headed for Minnesota, too?

I had the opportunity to hit with Paul in the Neuqua Valley batting cages once. I also got to ask him a few questions about college and baseball. He is a really nice guy and gave me some really good advice. I wish him the best wherever he plays.
