Ruairi OConnor and Tim Dennehy of the OPRF Huskies have been selected by the Minnesota Twins to play on their Top Prospect team at the Major League Baseball showcase in Wilmington N.C. July 27th through July 31st.This Showcase/Tournament is the only one sponsored by M.L.B.OConnor will play 3b and catch, Dennehy is a left-handed pitcher.

Thanks guys! Just another note on how special this situation is...........There were only 10 winter invitations (No try out) sent to players on each team. There are 6 teams which have a M.L.team name. (Twins,Marlins etc.)Each team will have 23-25 members. So..60 early winter invites were sent to the whole Eastern half of the country. This means Tim Dennehy is one (1) of 30 pitchers east of the Miss.river, while Ruairi OConnor is one (1) of 30 position players to get this particular invitation. Where: Wilmington N.C. When: July 27 through the 31st. Attendance: Major League Scouting Directors, scouts and crosscheckers as well as most top D1 recruiters.
