Can anyone here tell me what rules USSSA uses with regards to stealing at the 10U level. Just looking for suggestions really. I am trying to get our league to adopt something other than the open base, run at every chance philosophy.
Anyone else have any kids at this level and get a little crazy over all the stealing and scoring on passed balls under Pony rules? Any suggestions that have worked for your organizations or leagues?
Thanks,
Tim

The USSSA rules are here:USSSA rules I think that at the 10U level, their only variation from "real" baseball regarding stealing is that pitchers are allowed leniency with respect to balks. At least in the Major division, it works out OK. Most of the fields I have seen for this age group has very short distances to the backstop, so stealing home on a passed ball isn't very common.
