for my son...he started doing some of the P90X stuff last year when he turned 11. specifically the plyometrics. great for leg strength, explosion and core strength. push up bars, and rubberbands are great for working out at home. throw in some dips with your palms on the edge of a chair and feet on the couch and your good to go.
