Starts this week. Anyone here?

My sons team The Columbus Sharks finished 3rd in Va.Beach. They faced a team from Florida, the Bombsquad who lit it up with the bats against us in the semifinal game then they went on the beat the Knoxville Stars in the finals 9-8.
A really great tourney, the AAU folks put on a great tourney, nice complex and really good umpiring crew.
A tougher field than I had anticipated but I thought that the top 3, Bombsquad, Stars and Sharks were the strongest there aside from the Puerto Rico team that was knocked out by the 8th seed in Championship bracket play 1-0. We ended up playing the Tidewater Drillers (who beat Puerto Rico) 3 times. Once during inital pool then in Championship pool then again for 3rd/4th. We were concerned about that old addage about not beating a team 3x, and we almost didnt. They went up 4-0 early then in the bottom of the 6th we had a comeback like few have seen and put up 5 to win, verrrrry exciting!
All in all, a great week although it reached 100 degrees a few times!
