Win a Super NIT or have the berth passed on to you in a Super NIT. If you place 2nd and the first place team already has a berth, you will have the berth passed down. Or, ask for an at-large berth. If U-trip can't get 24 teams, they fill the tourney with just about any team that will go. A lot of local Florida teams filled the void this year in the 14U. Even though teams need to qualify, I still consider it an "Open" tourney because... YOU HAVE TO OPEN UP YOUR WALLET FOR EVERY LITTLE THING ONCE YOU GET THERE.

Don't know how long this link will last, but right now you can see where and when Super NIT tournaments were held last year. Probably it will be similar next year. Also, last year's champion get a berth as do the non-Elite East and West World Series Champs. http://www.usssabaseball.org/the_elite_world_series.htm |
