I am the GM for 4 baseball teams in kansas city and we are plaining to go to cooperstown in 2007 what is the best time to go I would like to have all of our age groups go at the same time but I know that it might not be possible we have a 10, 12, 13 & 14 and I know that the 13 & 14 have to go to the all stars that is ok but I would like to hear some feedback

There is only one week for 10's and that's the opening week. Unless they play up to 12, I don't think they'll be going together. Not sure where 13's and 14's play in Cooperstown but it's not at Dreamspark.

Here's my $.02....

Send the 12u team to CDP (Cooperstown Dreams Park). Once you know when they are playing, book the other ages at one of the other facilities. I think there are 3 other "Cooperstown" tourney facilities; All Star Village, Cooperstown Baseball World, and Cooperstown Diamonds.

You guys must have a HUGE fundraiser to cover the cost of 4 teams going to Cooperstown!!!

Tom,
Start calling to put your name on the list for CDP yesterday. Even though they have expanded the park by adding extra fields, historically you have to either have contacted them on the first week to reserve a spot, or have a automatic entry from a prior years visit (kind of a grandfather clause for returning organizations).
I've heard that CBW was good, but the folks I talked to said they would rather be at CDP.
We've been to CDP 4 times, once as u10 and three times as u12 (twice in one year)! I can't say enough good things about that place, and the Cooperstown area in particular.
p.s. stay in the town if you can. Small town America at it's best.
