World Series for 14U, 11U, and 10U is being held in Flower Mound, Texas this week.

How's your team/son faring?

My oldest is now 16U and my youngest is 11U. I had forgotten how much fun the younger World Series tournaments were. The kids are having a blast, seeing great competition, and trading pins fervently. Gotta love the American way.

My oldest son is in it, and it's been fun. They are 2-2 in the 11u group.

Are they in the platinum or diamond championship?

Gold division. We did not play well the first 2 games. Playing at midnight did NOT help.

Totally understand! Our first game was scheduled for noon, and we started it at 4:20. Didn't play our 4:00 until 8:00.

Our noon game started at 3:15 or so, and our 8:00 started at 11:25 and ended at 12:55am. It was a trainwreck all-around....

We won our first-round game in a tie-breaker. FUN! What age group and division are your guys in?

11U
Started in the Platinum, but lost the first game. Now we're in the Diamond. How about your son?

we are in the gold due to our poor start. still not playing real well, IMO.

Cool!! So are we, in the Gold division..your son must be on the Reds. I know the Coach and one or two of the kids who played with my son a few years ago...GOOD LUCK!!!!

How did your team finish? We played the next week in the 12U division.
