We will be attending the Road to Omaha tournament and the Triple Crown World Series this summer. I am in charge of finding out if there will be pin trading at these events. Anyone know if they do this at these tournaments? If so, I need to get on the ball.

Go to the tourney website. They usually mention it if it happens. If not contact the tourney director and ask. If the Road to Omaha tourney you're going to is the one put on by KC Sports, I'm pretty sure they do.

Don't know about Road to Omaha but it's a big deal at the Triple Crown World Series. Especially on the first day when the kids are competing in all the pre-tourney events and at the Opening Ceremonies. Triple Crown sells towels to put them on or your team can bring something of their own.
What age group(s) are you competing in?

Towels - I had a local company use golf towels and embroider the team name and the player number on each. It's cheaper than a tourney towel and you know who's is who's.

BBfam, Our team has participated the last 2 years at Omaha and only a few of the teams bring pins. All the WS events (Triple Crown, Super Series, USSSA, etc) trade pins religously. Our team is planning on going to Steamboat this year also for the 12 u group. Hope to see you there. This will be our first year for Triple Crown we are usually a USSSA-Super Series team so it should be fun to see some new teams.

My son went last year and YES, there was alot of pin trading going on...a great environment and they got to watch a CWS game. Our team has purchased two types of pins this year...one is "flat" and the other has a Chief Yahoo(Indian head that the boys have named) on a spring popping out...so, we were able to spread our budget dollars. You'll be amazed at the type of pins you'll see - some even light up! Have fun.
