look at kids who made the middle school team, and have played on A teams( not really sure what to call them, that was the name of the team I was on)
I was also asked to play on my towns cooperstown team, but could not actually go on the trip.

Will any of this matter to the coaches?

Nope, not a bit.
You don't even mention it to them.
Just play your game kid they will notice.
Play were they put you and play hard.

Kind of disgree with EH a bit here. They will look at you because you are trying out. They will also already know you played in Middle School, so that may or may not help you. As far as the Cooperstown thing, EH is 100% correct. Don't talk about it and don't mention it unless they ask-which they most likely will not.

Interesting topic. In my town making the middle school team is a big deal. The coaches even come down to the LL field to see what kind of talent is coming up. One of our highschools (directly across the street from the middle school) has a very successful program. And I know the coaches there know who's coming in from the middle school team. I guess the middle school team is a big deal in our town because of they have a decent program, 35-1 the past 2 years.

Here the MS teams are actually run out of the HS. It's called modified and is for 7-8 graders mostly. Once in awhile a few freshman will play, but most still playing as freshman are on JV.
