My son at 14 is fairly new to pitching. Although he does a decent job, many of the posters here have recommended a pitching instructor for mechanics, injury prevention, etc. Does anyone know of a good instructor around the Cobb County area that they would recommend? I'm willing to go further if the instructor is highly recommended. Thanks!

One of the best around is John Debore at the Ballpark in Alpharetta. Here is a link to pitching coaches in Atlanta:http://www.baseballtips.com/instructors/georgia.html

Also, Al Goetz, the Braves scout, is a pitching coach at Windward Academy in the Windward area. Also, there is pitching instruction at the East Cobb facility. It is a great idea to get a quality instructor.

Actually, his name is John Devore and the Ballpark is out of business. John is now teaching out of Hitters Park in Cumming. He is one of the best around and is worth what ever time it takes to get to him. The number for Hitters Park is 770-888-8711.
