Can anybody tell me about these baseball programs in Georgia?

You should also check out Kennesaw State, they have an excellent program.

Emory *does* have a baseball program, as do Oglethorpe and Georgia State U. The suggestion to check out each school's website was a good one. You might also look at Xap.com for broad information about the schools.

Yes, I have looked up the info on websites, but I felt that more info could be gained from someone who knows more than I could find on a website, since I do not live in Georgia. The question about whether Emory has a baseball team left out one word- "good" baseball team. I just thought that the post would open up some discussion about the Atlanta teams, which is where my son wants to attend school since his momlives there- but she knows nothing about baseball.

The term "Good" is relative but I will try.
Ga. Tech annual national power, they recruit you
you don't recruit them.
Kennesaw State (DII) annual power in DII, just
outside the city. Good school
and coach is quality person.
Morehouse No idea
Ga. State decent program
West Georgia about 20 mi. outside Atlanta
somewhat successful program
Mercer (Macon) decent program, just got a kid
from my sons school
Columbus State (Columbus) excellent ball club,
very successful program alot like
Kennesaw State.
Young Harris (JC) annaul national power. Orioles
2003 1st rounder from school.
Middle Ga. College (Cochran) (JC) very good
program, alittle down this
year.
The Atlanta area is a baseball hotbed. Most colleges in the area have good programs and good support nucleus.
