The NG VS Northside game was not a good indicator of the NG team. They had more errors in that game than before, and they didn't send out either of their two best pitchers.

the coaching changes when regions starts.

I also agree lassiter and some of the Northside baseball have some great ball players but is a little overated. Watch out for the Southside. Love this game.

Chilli.

It's evident you are a baseball guy. Go to the GHSA site and look at the recaps of Starrs Mill. More names there than the "flip the coin"
you mention.

Keep watching. Cool

Old Scout no need to get defensive, I know most of the boys on that team and they are all fine group of kids. I do believe Starrs Mill is strong this year, no question about that. Sounds like you know more than I do about actual stats for them since you got a little defensive, please share back with me who else is doing well would love to know. Sounds like you have a kid playing or some close ties? Wink Love this game!!

Chilli,

No defense intended. After several years of being in the "loop" but no longer there. I like to watch ALL of the Ga. teams, being a Ga. resident myself, and relay any information I can to some old friends.

There is alot of talent on the Southside of the Metro Atlanta area that year after year seems to be passed by.

Go beyond this site and look at all the info you can. That is what I do. There are alot of other sources out there.

How's Jake doing at EC ? Another one to be watched. Cool

I agree with you on the Southside having lots of talent and some of it getting passed often. Jake is doing great he has great instincts and gives you evrything he's got all the time. Wish we had more kids like him! What other sources are out their besides baseball America & Perfect Game ? I also went to GHSA web but couldn't find anything would love to learn more about the other sources to keep up with the game we love. Thanks, Chillidog

Lot of Southside talk, got some questions:

Chris Ramos, EC, Catcher: How's he doing this year and is he still rated in top 100 of 2007

Jake, EC, SS: Sign yet, love that kid.

33's Dad, NG, : How's the boy doing, must be OF, sign yet??

Brewer, SC, SS: needs to stick w/ baseball, skills there.

Ben Baker, CF, SM: Great dad, former Gator, good kid, solid player, sign yet??

That's a start.

Just wondering who everyone thinks has a chance to win their division title this year. I would like to hear from everyone from 1A to 5AAAAA.

Most teams are 20+ games into the season. Any new Predictions?

Let everyone know "Who's Hot" if you will.

Cool

Blackheart,

Looks like Baker separated a shoulder on a diving attempt in CF this week. Let's all pray for a speedy recovery. He is a big part of the SM team.

we just played lassiter last monday...and yea if they dont win state it should be a dissappointing year. they will most likely have home field advantage all the way, and they can hit, pitch, and play defense. we lost 15-12 and well there park is a launching pad. 5 home runs for them, 3 for us (walton) one of which was by me down the right field line. i didnt think it was out, but then it went 40 feet over the fence. lassiter has my vote

ok, kennesaw mountain is in the region you are asking about right? well i know plenty of kids on that team and they are all good. they have some great pitching and some great hitting. navarro hall there CF is flat out fast, great hitter, and great fielder. they would be my prediction to win it.

KM,

Good info, Thanks.

There are 8 Regions in AAAAA in Ga. They will all be involved in playoff competition to determine a State Champion in Class AAAAA.

Who everyone thinks that will be is what I'm looking for.

Cool

Kennesaw Mountain is in Region 5AAAAA

Hey Blackheart, thanks for asking about Joel. He has been injured almost all season. He severely sprained his ankle, but he is back playing DH. He hopes to be able to catch next week.

He signed early with Wallace Community College in Dothan and will get to catch for Mackey Sasser. It seems to be a really good fit. Wallace is leading their conference currently.

Jake has signed with Southern Union. LEvi also signed with SU.

Again, thanks for asking.

Hey Blackheart thanks for asking about some of the kids . Jake is doing great he will be missed next year at EC. He always gives you everything he's got. Chris is doing well this year not many homers but serious doubles in the gaps. He has 5 put outs on 7 attempts. Offensively 440 avg, 14 doubles, OBP - 505, SLG -645, 17 RBI's.
Kay mart glad you are doing well you always played tough, say hi to your dad for me. Chris ranked currently 156 Baseball America for 2007.
Starrs mill beat us at EC and we hung with them for about 4 innings but we didn't really throw anyone on the mound against them. Hope that changes we meet again next week. But over all they look pretty darn good. My vote would be for them. Biggest thing for all these teams is that you can get away with one or two good pitchers during the season, but when playoffs start you had better been working the rest of your staff becuase you will need them. Baseball is a funny game. Thanks, Chillidog

P.S love this game !!!!!!!!!! jumping

33's Dad: Congrats to Joel. Wallace-Dothan is my alma mater and i was going to play there for Sammy Frichter before I hung them up for good. Worst decision of my life and I'm divorced Smile

Jake and Levi: Good luck at SU. tell Brian Futral hello when your there next year unless he goes pro. ( late rounds)

Ben B.: I see you are still giving it your all. get well soon.

Ramos: We know the power is there, work on your speed and turn those 2B's to 3B's Smile I am very impressed with your defensive numbers

B. Behenna: Congrats on signing with Tusculum in Foosball. Hope you also continue your baseball career also. Great atmosphere and beautiful campus. Talked to the coach about 3 years ago in Florida, class guy.

Starrs Mill, EC and NG: all contenders to go far but SM is really, really good.

Good luck the rest of the way Chilli and 33's !!!!
