quillcorn is right on! Clemson camp was MOST excellent! gosh...I'm hungry for some corn all of a sudden.

Also, be sure to take the biggest cooler you can filled with ice, drinks, snacks, etc. that you can leave there for him to have each day. I even saw some campers arrive with small refrigerators...LOL. Quill is right about the clothing. You can't carry enough for him to change into throughout the hot summer days. Be sure to carry a change for him to get into on the way home!

Agreed, WA Dad. Granted, the last time my son did the Tech camp was when he was around 12, but he thought there was too much talking and not enough playing. There is an overnight option for high school kids, so maybe it's different for older campers.
Clemson is well run, active, and advanced IMO (and son's/son's team mate.) They have a day camp for younger kids, but it's run on other fields from the older kids. Good coaches, positive, tough, and instructive. Keep in mind it is physically demanding, so if a kid isn't in great shape he should get in shape before going or it will be really exhausting.
I also agree with YGD. Send snacks & drinks. Some kids had a little business going selling food to other campers because the student center was closed when they had time off, so no buying extra food.
