GT does it well, also check out, UNC, Miami and Clemson rosters, all remain in the 30-35 man roster #'s, which seems large but is not always as it appears (redshirt) and all rosters in the fall are THE rosters for the spring. All were in Omaha. Moat AC rosters are small compared to other conferences. And at most of these schools you are given an option to redhirt, not told. I think that is why these teams are successful year in and year out. They are excellent at identifying talent for their program and are not lazy in the recruiting process. Come to think of it, these programs could have 40 on their fall AND spring roster, but they don't.
Stating that you must stay competitive by bringing in big numbers and cutting is definetly a FALSE statement.

I believe Perno was aware of the image or reputation Georgia was getting in regards to over-recruiting; I think he is trying real hard to reduce this image. A lot is brought on by having the advantage of the Hope Scholarship for the local Georgia boys.
The rumor was that Georgia lost a few "big time" recruits a few years back because of this reputation. I think it is changing though. Bottom line: Perno is a players coach (I would like to see some stability in the pitching coach area).
