My sons team (Wayne State College) plays on a spring break trip March 9th till the 13th against Concord W. Va., Arstrong Atlantic, and West Liberty State. The games are being played in Savannah Ga. There is no other info on the teams web site as far as location or what tournement they play in. Any Ideas out there?

Any idea how far from Jacksonville airport to Savannah? Thats the closest airport I see that Southwest flys into. I like them because of the flexability with changeing reservations if needed.

It's a guesstimate, but I'd say that it's probably 3-4 hours away. Atlanta-Hartsfield isn't much closer I'm afraid. Have you looked at any South Carolina airports?

Thanks for the info YGD. Just for the heck of it I looked it up on yahoo maps and it appears to be a 112 miles/ 1Hr-54Minute drive. Looks like a straight shot up Rt. 95. I think I'm gonna go for it. Got the whole week to spend filling in around 1 game a day so hopefully I'll get to, as you say it "LOVE the place" Thanks

What's the best way to repel the nats? My son called from there today and said they are wicked.

Can't be done. Frown After awhile you just learn to ignore the pesky things.

Someone I know from south Georgia says that they actually used to put a little diesel fuel on the bill of their cap to keep them out of their faces.

As far as the gnats go, we were told to put a fragrant dryer sheet in our caps. It actually seemed to help.

Years ago, went to visit a cousin in Charleston, was outside at a baseball game. Bitten like crazy by the sand gnats ("no-see-ums"). Cousin passed to me a bottle of Avon Skin-So-Soft. It did the trick, but I smelled like my grandmother the rest of the night.

Tantrough...You hit it out of the park with the Avon Skin-So-Soft. It smells funny but it works.

Son was playing a tournament in Charleston while in high school and my wife plastered this stuff all over son and offered it to the rest of the team. No one wanted it. When they saw that our son was the only one that was not being bitten by the sandgnats, they came begging for the bottle. It works.
