How Georgian Are You?

[] You've lived in Georgia for more than 5 years.

[] Sweet tea is THE drink. No questions.

[] You've been to Atlanta.

[] You know what a "dawg" is.

[] Your lifetime goal is to own a fireworks stand.

[] You've heard of/been to the Okefenokee.

[] Gnats are extremely annoying.

[] You've picked cotton.

[] You've visited peach orchard.

[] You call a shopping cart a "buggy."

[] You don't like Yankees.

[] You know you're not allergic to pollen, because if you were, you'd be dead already.

[] Everyone knows everyone else's business.

[] You know people who consider a six pack and a bug zapper quality entertainment.

[] You've eaten okra.

[] You were practically raised at Wal-Mart.

[] You still call the refrigerator the "icebox."

[] "Y'all" is a word.

[] You've ridden MARTA.

[] You've been to a Waffle House more than 20 times in your life.

Add up your total and multiply by 5 to see how Georgian you are

To our military men, women and families - You are all awesome - that flag is yours and I thank you for the opportunity for giving me the honor of removing my cap prior to every baseball game I see.

I needed help but no one was there. It started Friday when I rented a s****r movie. They were actually having practices on a baseball field – ahh. My son was gone most of the weekend trying to have a “social life” prior to baseball kicking in again. Finally I snapped.

My wife and I always thought about adoption and today seemed to be the right day. Obviously, getting a newborn is tough and we weren’t sure if we were young enough to go through all that again. So we got an older boy.

It was great, brought him home and we went out back with a bucket of baseballs. I threw and he chased them down – guaranteed SS or centerfielder IMHO. The boy can run. He wouldn’t throw the ball back, he just collected them all…..I think it’s a trust thing. All I know is I had a blast.

He absolutely loves my van – Travel Baseball here we come!!! I started looking into some pros that might help him along and I was really surprised that my wife wanted to be the one that brought him. I figure it is time my wife gets to witness the nuances of good throwing, hitting and fielding mechanics. She did confuse me a bit though, she was excited about seeing him be able to sit, stay, rollover and things like that.

I think she is losing her mind – but I’m fine now.

"You've lived in Georgia for more than 5 years."

Way too little time to fully assimilate. Smile

Forgot these on my list:
-Have tubed the Hooch.
-Remember the Pink Pig, rode it, and got a tree shaped mint-flavored jelly sucker at the end.
-Know there is no real Tara that you can go visit.

"Know there is no real Tara that you can go and visit"

If you go to the Jonesboro, Ga tourist train depot in town (Located just off of Tara Blvd)they will give you a map to the house that was Margaret"s "inspiration" for the house/book. Reality is NOTHING like the movies!

Underground ATL Open, Closed, Open, Closed,Open?

StillLearning,

Yes, I know about that "inspiration" house. There are several claims... The reality is, there never was a "Tara" in GA. The whole thing was a studio set! LOL!

As for the dog: I prefer mine with slaw and a PC rather than a FO. Big Grin
