I hear Blake Brewer signed with Kentucky, anyone confirm? Is it Baseball of Basketball?

Out of Tyrone, Sandy Creek High School.

Follow up - word from Brewer is that he did commit while on his visit.

Blake Brewer is busy on the basketball courts right now, but not too busy to take care of his future.

Brewer, the Sandy Creek senior, has verbally committed to play baseball at the University of Kentucky next year, according to his father, Bill Brewer.

Blake is expected to pitch for the Wildcats in his college career.

As a pitcher last year at Sandy Creek, Brewer had 40 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched.

Blake’s brother Brent had many football and baseball offers out of high school, but was drafted by the Brewers and is in his second year in the organization.

“We are all excited for Blake,” said Sandy Creek Coach Eddy Householder.

Blake will officially sign in April.
