My 17 yo catcher is looking for tryouts for a 2008/2009 team. Starting varsity catcher as a sophmore. 2.0 pop time. Experience with 18 yo pitchers with a lot of movement, and throwing in the high 80's. We'd like to find out what teams are looking for a catcher and what teams are holding open tryouts.

Try Mentium...current Fall 2008 team has a couple catchers (from North Gwinnett/Central Gwinnett) already and Greg was talking to another catcher also. Greg tends to move kids around some during the fall season which alot of kids like; Greg is very involved with the Fall team and pretty popular with the kids. Fall team has kids from all over the Atlanta area (mostly Seniors)...they should be strong in the bullpen. Practices are at Hardball or Berkmar HS. Games are Sunday and one during the week... first game is 9/2/08.
