So - Who are the top 2009 ballplayers that we should all keep an eye on? Please also list their school, position, and summer team if you know it.

I'm familiar with most of the kids in the North Atlanta area and who play for the top programs, but are there any others out there?

Good list so far! I like to know who to look for when I'm watching games or reviewing summaries. There are several names on here that I'm not familiar with - that isn't surprising.

Luke Bailey and Trevor Walsh who play with Miles Head for the Roadrunners are very good. Not sure what schools they go to. I also hear the Kyle Farmer at Marist is a very good shortstop. He played with the 18U East Cobb Yankees this summer and started.

BillBill,

Luke Bailey goes to Troup County and Trever is from Ok. Plays out these for a AAA HS.

From Oklahoma? Really!?! That is a long way to come for baseball. I guess we won't count him as a 2009 Georgia ballplayer.

Now that most of the fall programs and showcases are over, are there any others 09 ballplayers that we need to keep an eye on next spring? I'm sure we'll see names of the ranked players, but what about the ones that are not currently on the radar?

Frank, what are you doing back on here? Does Julie know that you're lurking around here again?

We are not related to, nor does my son play on the same team as Dadeo Noel Lorenzo, but I do have to say he is the best shortstop I have seen in htree years of high school/ high school-age travel baseball. Nothing gets by him, nothing. And true enough on the speed and hitting.

I've seen Dadynoel play several times. He was the starting shortstop at Tucker. He is a very, very good shortstop, is fast, and hits the ball well. He graduated and I'm not sure what his plans are. I always thought he was underated ever since I first heard about him and saw him play when he was in the 10th grade. Not sure how much exposure he has had so it is great that he is with MGBA. Does anyone know where he is playing in college?

BRIAN THOMAS-Pitcher, Southwest Dekalb

High 80 fastball, killer curve. The only pitcher to shut down Xavier Avery (2008 2nd round draft pick).
