I currently have my son (13 in a couple weeks) doing (Light)weight training and conditioning
4-5 days per week. We begin with good streching and warmups and alternate every other day with Wednesdays and Sundays off. we also try to do at least 15-20min. per work out on the gazzele.
I'm sure some have suggestions on this subject and would like to know what they are, especially HS freshman team conditioning.

The most important factor is to have the young man's arm in shape.

I've seen too many come rolling into tryouts fresh out of basektball and/or wrestling without having picked up a baseball since summer.

During tryouts, many tend to overdo it and get sore arms.

Coaches are carefully looking during rounds of infield for arm stregnth and accuracy. It's important that your son be able to withstand the tryout period not having to worry about his arm.

Just an observation.

Warhark. You are exactley right. When the weather and school work permitt we try to throw. We average throwing 3-5 days per week at home and he plays ball year round.

Thank you sir. Going to be a challenge but one we're all looking forward to.

Henry can trot out three legit 90(+) pitchers in Rozier, Lindsey, and Laird. Clark, who transferred to Riverside Military, would've given them 4. They will need to find consistency at catcher with the loss of both Cole and King.

Houston County and Westside return nearly everything and should make some noise as well as Northside, Stockbridge, and Warner Robins. Corr is always fielding a good team at Jonesboro. Mt. Zion still has a blue chipper in the outfield and Morrow has a new coach.

We'll find out quickly about our club down at Coffee County with games against them and defending state champ Clinch County the first weekend of the season.

I saw Clark at the PG Underclassman showcase. He shut everybody down and topped at 91 on the gun. The Midland Redskins were courting his father pretty hard. Seemed like he had loads of potential.
