==========================================
It's time for the 2008 HS BB Webby Awards!
==========================================

You are all invited to nominate your favorite picks for the best posts of the year on the HS Baseball Web.

Voter turnout is expected to set an all-time record (especially since this is the first annual event). And ballot recounts are expected to last for several months (sorry, Minnesota joke...our senatorial race).

Get ready, get set, and post your NOMINATIONS here for the best posts or threads of 2008 in one or more of these categories:

  • Best advice for "making the team"
  • Best college recruiting advice
  • Best baseball playing or coaching tips

  • Most humorous thread
  • Most inspiring story

  • Best post or thread by a current player
  • Best "first post" by a poster
  • Best question asked by any member, new or old
  • Added by request: Best member name (screen name)***

***Name must have been used for at least a month. Wink

IMPORTANT:

Please post a link to the page containing the post or thread you are nominating! And mention the category that your nomination fits best.

Winning threads will be enshrined in our own "Hall of Fame", the Golden Threads forum.
applaude applaude

So get busy, start digging, and uncover those gems and nuggets of wisdom.

I agree, that post was awesome.

I can't vote. I can't vote because there has been such good posts started by new websters and old websters over the past year, it's hard to really signal one or two out.
A special thanks to websters like Fungo, PG,justbaseball and Coach May, often times others, who really try hard to think of some really good topics to keep the board active, and that is so important for our community, especially in the general forum and recruiting threads.

I do also agree that the topic PGtoddlers was one of the funniest to come along in a long time. I also think that 3fingeredglove deserves a special award, that's not an easy task trying to find all of those NCAA rules for us for clarification. He deserves a medal for that! Smile

TPM I second that about 3FingeredGlove, there should be some sort of award for his knowledge and ability to find the answers if he doesnt know them.

Can I vote again? lol

If so, I also vote for 3fingered's incredible ability to find and supply rules like he does!

It's unbelievable!

OK here is another great one, I guess it would go under best college recruting advice.

CADad caught some grief on this one but it has by far some of the best Stanford Camp advice you can find.

Under the best college recruiting advice category:

shortstopmom provided her low-cost tips for exposure. It was excellent advice imho.

HaverDad might give Krak a little run for that title. Any others we might be forgetting? How about those from places like "way out there", "desktop" and "left Out"? Smile
