Hi, I have a Freshman 15 year old lefty pitcher/firstbaseman, Jarrod Casto from Pickens S.C. He is playing Varsity this year for the Pickens High Blue Flames, He Plays for the Team USA USSSA team currently ranked 1 in the state. Jarrod delt with so much this last year, on March 23rd, 2003 Our Home was lost to a fire, and His 12 year old brother Max, didnt make it, and died. they were very close, and Max was a outstanding Son, Player, Brother and Friend, Jarrods Goal is to play collage ball some day, and we support and believe he has what it takes to reach his goal. thanks for this site it is a blessing, as well as a wonderful tool. we are a small town, but we have many great places close by for great help and instruction, Clemson Universty is close and has a great camp for bball. and nearby Greenville SC has the StrikeZone academy where Jarrod takes pitching lessons, we want to get him to some showcase events this year, also, we will be in Orlando, this summer for the USSSA world series, hope to meet some more great baseball parents in the future. Thanks, Cass, and Sherri Casto.=)

Mr and Mrs Castro,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. My son will be attending Clemson next year, let me know if there is anything we can do. We have given quite a few names of future prospects to the coaching staff.

scleftzdad, First, our thoughts and prayers are with you, your son and family. Our family has recently suffered a loss, I understand. Second, thank you for joining our baseball home. I hope you find this site as a place to visit, learn, share and grow. Finally, we will be watching and supporting Jarrod's growth. Good Luck, it sounds like he has a great future.

May God bless him in his efforts...

Scz,
I too offer my prayers and best wishes for your son and your family. Thanks for being willing to join the group. I'm sure I speak for most when I say we'll be rooting for your son's success. PLEASE keep us posted, the best thing about this site is being able to track the progress of each player.

Thank You so much for the warm welcome, I want to stay in touch and i will let you all know how Jarrod is doing in varsity, as a freshman,
I have mixed feelings about it, Being a lefty pitcher on such a great team is good.but we have alot of good pitchers. And he will not get to play near as much as when he was #1 first baseman on other teams, we have a great senior 1st baseman,His bat is very strong, thats good. Jarrod needs that reality of not being top dog everywhere, Not that he thinks this, He is very Humble, I just want it all........LOL>..........confidence, humble nature, do i sound goofy or what?, nice to know other bball parents are just as in to it as Me. Thanks All,
P.S."06Dad-Look foward to meeting you in FL this summer, by the way, My wife has a Uncle and Aunt from Melbourn, they own Stanley Studios there........... clap

I hate destroy the continuity and consistency in this piece of cyberspace, but I believe I'll be the first person here to post - who doesnt have a son. I DO - however - have a little brother who I live vicariously through. That has to count for something...

Welcome big brother Brushback to the board.

Looks like your little brother is quite the baseball player and student as well. Congratulations to him, his parents, and to you.

Have fun with the next few years!
