Bob, If the legal thing does not pan out, you are still the one to set the standards and will always be on top. I can see it in a few years when Microsoft and HSBBW will be used in the same sentence.
0204mom, Nice site, with the right stuff.

PHD...If you haven't done anything wrong and have received permission from Bob to take his information (if it is copywritten) why do you suppose he would start the thread?
PHD, Actually, along with some attorneys on this site, there are a few scientists too. We also have many people who have spent time researching baseball and the tools of the game. In fact, there are quite a few members of the HSBBWeb who have taken the time to research pitching and hitting, instead of just picking up some House, Hudgens and Mills tapes and then passing it off as knowledge for a price. We have learned from each other without being charged by Bob, and when his feelings are hurt, so are mine. Being rude to him shows no class and it is something that he would never do to you.

Any of you PHD's ever consider getting permission from someone before using their stuff to bilk errr charge people for essentially free information. If the Brain Surgeons were not also theives, they would not have to come on here and be smart asses in their posts. Stuff like this really pisses me off. Did Mr Gac ever consider asking permission? If you are a PHD and capable of reading, you would see that Bob was asking advice about a situation. Not crying a river. So why doesn't Mr. Gac show some integrity and remove the copyrighted materials. Your post pissed me off. I would like to poke you in the snoz.

One might assume if you're quite that bright you would have been capable of doing your own research and developing your own information.
Bob has written, commissioned, and assembled an extensive network of information, experts, and experienced baseball people on this site. And you, with a completely classless tone, expect him to then deal with a thief without first consulting his supporters as to the most effective method? I do hope the parents of the athletes you're ostensibly helping are aware of your morals.
I would be surprised to hear from you again. That might take cajones.

Baseball lives at the center of a never-flagging whirl of irreconcilable opinions.
I know this is a serious matter - I may have been guilty as well for copy/pasting hsweb resourses for our hs coach to use in recruiting info handouts, or emailing it to friends who then emailed it to their friends as well. I thought that's what it was there for, but as the law sounds pretty complex, I'm not really sure, I may be "busted".
on a related note, there's "html encryption" software available that would disable copy/paste, right click, the viewing/copy of source code, etc.
I've been told that allowing open access to source code is like leaving your car unlocked, keys in it & running, and a hot pizza on the seat, at the mall.
I'm not a computer geek so I'll defer the "in depth" application review to those that are
ps- Bob, if I'm busted, be fair with the punisment, I'll do anything except watch old Cub's replays or moderate the "new" Ivies forum

Bee, Your punishment for breaking laws against the high school baseball web community is to be forced to watch the "All Men are Scum" weekend marathon, also know as the Lifetime Channel.
Bee, I have done some reading on copyright myself and you are correct about the
quote: on a related note, there's "html encryption" software available that would disable copy/paste, right click, the viewing/copy of source code, etc.
However, if the material is "copyrighted", it is still illegal to copy it even if it is not encrypted. Anyway, someone could still write it down with pencil and paper. The RIAA has the same problem with people downloading and sharing copyrighted music and they are currently prosecuting some of those persons. Perhaps Bob could get some advice from them as well.
A ball player's got to be kept hungry to become a big leaguer. That's why no boy from a rich family ever made the big leagues. Joe Dimaggio (b. 1914), U.S. baseball player. Quoted in: New York Times (30 April 1961).

Rather than admitting to a bad choice and being man enough to apologize and maybe suggest you didn't realize it was wrong (as Bee has done) you essentially raise your middle finger at Bob. Not a bright move. You obviously fail to understand how helpful this site might have been to your business.

I just visited this site. Would a parent actually buy this when you can find this info for free? IMO I think this guy is preying upon the parent who actually believes that his advice, programs, whatever (or someone else's) will actually land them a scholarship or a chance in the Big Leagues. It's rather sad.
