I was just wondering if anyone has any info on the PBLO. How much is it to play? What are the main differences between the PBLO and an 'AAA' leauge?

Also I am curious if Canadian Universities can offer schloarships?

Thanks for and info. Smile

Full Count,

The PBLO consists of elite ball clubs. Tryouts are now underway for most teams. The main objective of these clubs is to help you find baseball scholarships in the US. The costs will vary with each ball club. You should expect to pay between $3,500.00 (my guess) up to $10,000.00 per season. These fees cover facility rentals, travel costs, hotels, transportation and tournament fees etc. I would however advise you to be aware of hidden cost above & beyond these fees. Some clubs will lure you in with a lower fee then then add extra charges for tournaments or other unforeseen (wink) expenses.

Other clubs will quote you an all in price and guarantee no hidden charges. You also want to check out the coaches credentials. Most programs have coaches with a vast amount of experience usually listed on their websites. Some teams will offer coaches who may have their own sons on the rosters (dads) I wouldn't be dropping thousands of dollars on a program that has someone's dad as the coach. Links to the team websites can be found on the PBLO site: http://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=pblo

Canadian universities do not offer athletic scholarships. I'm not sure what you are referring to when you mention AAA leagues unless you are referring to OBA rep teams.

I hope this helps.

Thanks GoodPitching,

This info is great and helps alot. Looking at the team websites (thanks for the link) would you say the Ontario Blue Jays, Team Ontario or the Toronto Mets are the better team?
I was referring to OBA rep teams, and I was curious to see if anyone knew if there was a major difference in the skill level.

Thanks agian.
