It was a lot of fun and good exposure to college coaches but don't hold your breath.

no call for us. He is a '92. I though the experience was great and so did he. My son competed very well. I really like the idea of the evaluation games as this is how to tell the real players from the guys that just look good doing drills.

what about you ? how was your experience ?

At least he knows what to expect next year. My boy pitched well but we were on a weak team, so fly balls were dropped, grounders were bobbled and our catcher couldn't block a 3rd strike curve ball, then promptly threw the ball past 1st base into right field. He had to get most of his outs by strikeout. He was still happy that he went because no one hit the ball hard off him.

We knew going in though that this team is pretty much already selected before this event is staged. We went for the exposure to some college coaches.

Guys scouting players see past the errors as long as they are not theirs.
They will watch how he reacts to tose errors.

Bobblehead,

You're 100% correct. Our team is taught that they should look the same on the field if they are down by 10 runs or up by 10. You shouldn't be able to tell the difference. My boy has all of his emotions in check. He matured a lot over the last few seasons.

Blexann,

No we weren't Brown shirts. Why, was that team error filled? Did you play them? We didn't play them so I couldn't tell you what they were like.

Hey Blex that is where the good guys are. I understand they beat BC.
Since they started including elite players from Elite clubs it can only get better here in Ontario.
I see Bob Elliot has started a new Canadian BB forum. Doesn't have the fire SLAM had but maybe some day soon.

Son played for Ontario. It was one of his best experiences so far. The friendships he made, hopefully some will last a lifetime. 20 young men brought together from all over ,for one common goal, to try and win the Canada Cup. which they did. Hats off to the boys and the coaching staff. Our first year(last year)at the camp was a learning experience, which I believe helped him this year.
