Additional Comments
Very long body. He has the potential to become an impressive D1/Pro pitcher. Very hardworker when it comes to him. His fastball consistently hits 84-86, and has topped out at 87 this past spring. Due to the increase in a little size, he may top out a little higher. He has a slurve/curve, an impressive knuckleball which is very effective, a decent changeup when located correctly, as well as a slider. With a gain of size up to about 200-215 lbs, and a good program, he has a great future ahead of him as well as the program he attends. Also, there is a chance that he may still be growing so he may grow an inch or two. Very long arms and legs. He played basketball in the winter. 30" vertical. He goes to Parkway South High school and is coached by Adam Stahl (Cleveland Indians scout and coach of Duluth Huskies in Northwoods league) in Ballwin, St. Louis, Missouri. This summer he will be playing for the Rawlings Knights, part of the Rawlings Prospects organization and being coached by Vince Loggins (Los Angeles Angels scout), Todd Worrell (ex-cardinals pitcher 13 years), and William Shanks (Toronto Bluejays Scout).

Athletic Honors: 2007 selection to the following - All-District, All-Region, Honorable Mention All-State, East/West All-Star Team

Additional Comments: Finished 2007 with a 7-1 record with 6 wins against top 20 teams in the state, including 4 wins against top 10 teams (including #1 ranked Lexington Catholic). Finished with an impressive 1.53 ERA. Has been seen by a professional scout in Cincinnati in June 2007. Michael is a crafty, smart LHP that mixes his speeds well and gets excellent movement on all of his pitches to keep batters off balance. He has been gunned at 83 m.p.h.(Stalker) from the mound and at 85 from 1st to 3rd. He has amazing composure in big game situations and absolute confidence that he is going to win everytime he steps on the mound. His AB's were minimal this year, with 3 senior firstbasemen ahead of him, but last year he led the JV squad in nearly every hitting category including average, extra base hits, slugging percentage and RBI's.
AUGUST 2007 update: Michael increased his velocity at a recent showcase, being gunned at 84 m.p.h. (Stalker) from the mound.
