Speaking of the big football game.....

I just got back from Neyland Stadium and I can tell you that the mood here in Knoxville is dismal. We just lost to Vanderbilt for crying out loud, 22 years of dominance ended in what was already a disturbing season. I know I am new to the rivalry here against the 'Dores but even before I attended class here I knew about the one-sided nature of it.
Sorry, I know this isn't a college football website but I needed to vent.

The only positive is that maybe we'l' get some more fan support at baseball games.

Who knows?

Thank You Bob for the kind words. My wife and I are very proud of Steve. I’m excited for the whole group of young men in his class. He has worked pretty hard while at Franklin and it's nice to see the hard work payoff a little. I'm glad he's going to be in a program that's working hard to improve and you can actually see the work being done. The coaches there are tireless workers. You can also visibly tell the school is behind Coach Corbin and that was enough for us.

Also Bob, I wanted you to know that I can honestly say that when a friend first told me about this hsbasballweb.com (cbg, about 3 years ago) I did not have a clue there was anything on the internet like this web site. I thought I knew a lot about how to help him continue playing baseball after high school but I did not. I did not realize it until I started reading some of the posts from the members on the message board and then I read the articles. Especially the one "Recruiting Timeline". It was one of the first articles I read on this web site and it was eye opening to me. After reading it I tried my best to follow it's steps each year. I have recommend this web site to countless parents that are on the same path as many of us and I hope that it helps them as much as it’s help me.

I'm sure that it's help many people over the years and I want to say,

Thank you and may God bless you and your family.

Tim Liddle

For us old timers it stings to lose to Vandy at anything.

We've had some low points with basketball and baseball but you could always count on Tennessee pulling out the football game.

Oh well.

Hope the Diamond Vols can reverse the recent trend. Although I'll trade a 1-2 weekend series for a trip to Omaha.

Vandy nearly beat the Gators at Gator Homecoming losing 49-42 on a controversial "excessive celebration" penalty. Jay Cutler, the Vandy QB is for real.

Jay Cutler just acts as an example that a great quarterback can take a team on his shoulders even if the supporting talent isn't all that amazing (Compared to Tennessee's natural talent)

Bizazz-

The hatred of Vandy is even more intense now and everyone has that weekend at LNS circled on their calendars.

I would agree with your trade deal as well! Big Grin

Bama,
Woe is me....... It was truly a sad day as my family and I were at the football game. Must be the first time in history that the Vols lost a football game to a school with no athletic department. My son even commented that the Commodores were a glorified intramural team.

I tried to call Bizazz after the game and cry in his beer, but he wouldn't even answer his cell phone.Roll Eyes
