Thursday: Spalding and Brescia in an elimination game at 11 Bethel plays Wesleyan at 3. If Bethel loses they are eliminated. Milligan plays Brevard at 7.
It was good to see Milligan finally put it all together in one game. They had 8 runs on 13 hits in the game. Brett "Sonny" Seybert went 6 2/3 innings in relief and slammed the door on Bethel. He allowed no runs on 2 hits and struck out 9 in a dominating performance. Justin Hite will get the start tonight against Brevard. Should be a good game, it usually is when Milligan and Brevard get together. See you there.

Seybert "disappeared" from the beginning of the season until the tournament, but he's had two outstanding outings in a row. A huge pick-me-up for the pitching staff.
Hite had one stretch this season where he threw 3 consecutive 7-inning shutouts in conference play. Milligan needs a similar performance tonight. Brevard is the hottest team in the conference, winning the tournament from the 6-seed position, and besting nationally ranking Spalding yesterday.
Spalding eliminated Brescia Tennessee Wesleyan eliminated Bethel and advanced to the winner's bracket final Milligan defeated Brevard and advanced to the winner's bracket final
Friday's games:
Milligan vs. Tennessee Wesleyan in the winner's bracket final. The winner advances to Saturday's championship game.
Spalding vs. Brevard in an elimination game
In the nightcap, the loser of Milligan - TWC plays the winner of Spalding-Brevard for the right to advance to Saturday's championship game.
I can't say enough about the long relief efforts put in by Bret Seybert and Stephen Jarrett in the tournament. Thanks to them Milligan has a couple of pitchers who are rested for tomorrow's championship.
