Hey guys! How have you been? Just checking the site for a little info and thought I would see how you are doing. Hope all is well at your house(s). Things are well here. Just work, sleep, work. Same as always.

Hey Roger, I still check in from time to time, but I'm certainly not as involved in things as I used to be. Not much of the "old guard" around anymore since a lot of our boys have moved on to other things.

Adam ended up tearing his labrum in January. He tried to pitch a couple of times before the diagnosis, but had too much pain and couldn't get a fastball beyond low 80s. He's currently rehabing from surgery, but plans to try a comeback next year.

Biz,
Sorry to hear about Adam's bad fortune and surgery. Hope the recovery and rehab are going well.

Our Admirals managed to capture another gold ring this year! It was great to see those young men excel after last year's disappointment. They let me stay in the FHS Skybox another year....

".... boys have moved on..." -- I know what you mean. My eldest (FHS '02) graduated from ETSU in May, and is working in Johnson City. Youngest (FHS '04) is in Memphis working summer internship.

DD,
Great to hear about the boys. Sounds like at least one is off the family payroll ;-) Congrats to the Admirals again. I did follow them as much as I could. Looks like they also have another good group returning for a repeat.

Wes graduated in May and starts grad school this fall. He has a job waiting in Atlanta when completed. His brother is a JR in Engineering at working at ORNL this summer. I sure miss the fun we had watching them play.

You need a new skybox to hold all those 4 championships! That was a neat insert that the paper did on those four teams.

What recession? Or, did you mean depression?

I would be recessed or depressed too if I lived in Nocksville...

Dugout - that's awesome about the Ads latest championship. When I saw this past year's crop of juniors play as freshmen I knew they were going to have some special players.

Adam is doing well in his recovery. He's been throwing at 90 ft w/o pain. We're not going to rush it, but he's optimistic that he may be able to participate some in fall workouts. He had to stay home this year while his team went to the NAIA World Series. He'd like to have a chance to make the trip.

Bama - I think I've stated before that the only good thing about Alabama is that it's on the way to the beach. Big Grin

You can come visit us in Knoxville anytime. We'll leave the gate unlocked for you. Smile

Good to see everyone is still kicking. Jeremy completed his first tour in Iraq this past Thanksgiving. Good to have him on American soil. He will start his next tour in several weeks...but in the states....safe. My youngest just grad from Heritage. Andy Howdershell was one of her teachers...great kid. He came to her signing. The nest is emptying out. At least our middle daughter is staying a little while longer to get master's at UT.Hope Bob joins in.
