  • Houston Kyle Chapman 3 - Knoxville Thunder 17’s 3
  • East Cobb Astros 8 - Knoxville Thunder 16’s 0
  • Knoxville Yard Dogs 16’s 3 - Baseball Utah 2
  • Knoxville Yard Dogs 17’s 2 - South Florida Stars 2

POOL LEADERS (thru the end of play on Thursday)

Note: One team from each pool will advance to championship play except for Pool K. Two teams will advance from Pool K

  • Pool A: South Texas Sun Devils (2-1, 10 runs allowed). 4 teams have identical 2-1 records in the 6-team pool, including Perfect Game USA, Bama Bombers Jr Team and STAF Athletics.
  • Pool B: TASBA Grays (2-0-1)
  • Pool C: East Cobb Astros (3-0)
  • Pool D: Georgia Stars (3-0)
  • Pool E: Richmond Braves (3-0)
  • Pool F: Houston Kyle Chapman (2-0-1, 5 runs allowed)
  • Pool G: East Cobb Braves (3-0)
  • Pool H: Dallas Tigers (3-0, 1 run allowed). The East Cobb Cardinals are also 3-0 but have allowed 5 runs.
  • Pool I: New Jersey Twins (2-0)
  • Pool J: Savannah Chain (3-0)
  • Pool K: NorCal 17’s (3-0), Knoxville Yard Dogs 17’s (1-0-2)

If Pool Play ended Thursday, the Dallas Tigers would be the highest ranked team going into the championship round based on their 3-0 record and total of only 1 run allowed.

btw - it's interesting that the Yard Dog 17s are in the running with just one win.

Do any of the other Tennessee teams have a shot with wins today?

I also wondered about the chances, but was too lazy this early to see if I could track that information down. Wink

I've been told that the Yard Dogs are scheduled to play the number one team in the country out of California today at 4:30 PM in East Cobb. It will be televised on FOX SPORTS or TURNER SPORTS SOUTH.

I don't know if it will be carried in the Knoxville market.
