The NAIA Region XII tournament has kicked off at Kingsport's Hunter-Wright stadium.

Four teams from the Appalachian conference are included in the 6-team field (Tennessee Wesleyan, Union (Ky), Brevard and Montreat). Tennessee Wesleyan is the only Tennessee college participating.

TWC won its opening game vs. Indiana Southeast.

Region XII round 1

TWC plays traditional power Spalding today.

Just learned that TWC defeated Union in the winner's bracket final.

Union will face the winner of the Spalding-IU Southeast game tonight to determine who plays TWC in the finals.

Congratulations to Tennessee Wesleyan on winning the Region XII championship with an 8-6 win over Spalding.

TWC will face Cumberland (TN) in the Super-Regional.
