Congratulations to Chattnooga State for winning the TJCCAA Championship (NJCAA Region VII) Wednesday, defeating Volunteer State in the Championship game 6-2.
Chattanooga State (ranked #3 in the nation) will go on to a best 2 out of 3 series against the Region XVII Champ (Georgia) for a trip to the JUCO World Series. Congrats to Chattanooga State for a fine baseball seaon and fine baseball program.
Now please allow me a point of personal privilege and a little puffing up. BNA's son, Brad Cobb (Volunteer State) posted an impressive .469 batting average in TJCCAA tournament play going 15 for 32 at the plate, including 6 doubles.
Add this on to a .370 batting average in regular season play for a 2007 batting average of .393

BNA, Congrats to Brad for a great tournament and for a fine year. I went down and watched Vol State play at Chattanooga State in the last reg season weekend.
I hope you weren't there and I missed you.

I was there and hate that I missed you. I look forward to seeing you at a ballpark in the future.
