A pair of Montgomery County products signed on to join Austin Peay's baseball team for the 2007 season. Clarksville-native Daniel Tenholder and Cunningham-product Daniel Baggett have signed letters of intent, the team announced today. Baggett, a 6-3, 200-pound, outfielder, was a starter as a junior at Montgomery Central High School. He batted .500 last season with 12 home runs, 34 RBI and 17 stolen bases. Tenholder, a 6-1, 190-pound, right-handed pitcher, missed the 2004 season due to shoulder problems. However, as a sophomore, he posted a 9-2 mark and 1.19 ERA in 65 innings, chalking up 90 strikeouts.

Austin Peay's baseball team continued its early signing blitz with the addition of Franklin product Matt Kole and Tyler Bullock of DuQuoin, Ill., who both signed letters of intent for the 2007 season. Kole, a 6-2, 175-pound left-handed pitcher and first baseman, played for Ravenwood High Shool last season, batting .389 with seven home runs and 29 RBI. Bullock, a 6-4, 280-pound, catcher is a formidable presence at and behind the plate for DuQuoin High School. Last season, the left-handed hitter posted the team's best batting average (.451) while belting eight home runs with 28 RBI.

I have coached Tyler Bullock for going on three years now and you are not going to meet a better kid. He may be 280 now but he will drop some of that weight once he is done playing football. He has had alot of interest to play college football as an offensive lineman. He is also a starter on the schools basketball team. You would think at that size he would be slow but he has good quick feet behind the plate with a great arm.
