Reported in the News Sentinel today:

Tennessee starting first baseman Chris Kemp failed to meet academic requirements and is ineligible to play this season. Kemp, a senior, said he plans to redshirt and return in 2006.

Seems the offense just took a hit that they didn't need.

This is tough news. I suppose the coaching staff was counting heavily on Kemp's bat this spring.
