Marty Parks, CF, Madison Central (KY) has signed with Hiwassee. I haven't been told by any Tennessee players yet.

Congrats to Tate McMillan: applaude

04-21-05 - Tate McMillan - C/1B - Houston County HS - Tennessee Tech

(2002 .381 BA, 2 HR, 24 RBI) (2003 Was named to the "Top Prospect" game at the Perfect Game Underclassman Showcase in Ft. Myers, FL; 2003 PG World Underclassmen Showcase - 05 catcher with a good projectable body. Arm strength needs to improve, but the rest is all there. Shows hitting ability. Nice compact swing that really gets the bat head through the zone. Slight loft to his swing, he's probably going to hit with some wood bat power, 2.13 pop) (2003 .414 BA, 2 HR, 13 2B, 27 RBI's, All-District 10-A, Member of the soph. sunbelt team) (Blue-Gray Classic VII at the University of Tennessee) (Perfect Game Sunshine East - PG Rating 7 - Tate is a good left handed hitting catcher. He has a good line drive approach and stays inside the ball well. His bat is quick throw the zone and he showed power potential. He moves well behind the plate and works hard. Projectable good baseball body, his arm should improve a lot over the next couple years. Good hitting 05 catcher with a good work ethic, interesting follow. Top student!) (Jan 2004 PG- National Underclass Showcase, Ft. Myers, FL) 2004 - .469 BA, 46 of 98, 47RBI's 5 HR, 16 2B, 23 BB (2004 All-District 10A) (2004 -All-Region) (2004 Team Tennessee Junior Sunbelt Team) (TSWA All-State 2004)

GMom,
I'm afraid I followed Bob's lead when he turned this site over to MN-Mom after his great contribution to us for many years. Not long after I decided to retire from collecting and posting information on high school baseball talent in Tennessee. My site was nothing even close to HSBBWeb, but did grow to a very time consuming hobby. I gave it six years, enjoyed it immensely, met and corresponded with some great parents, players and coaches, but like Bob said, it was time.

Maybe some day someone will do something similar. You finding this thread sure brought back some nice memories.

If you have a baseball playing son, I wish you and him the best. Enjoy every minute!!!!!Smile
