Are all -3 bats that have the BESR certification allowed in high school baseball or do they have to say that they meet the high school standards?

To be legal for high school play per the NFHS rules, the bat must be no more than -3 and must have the BESR screened on marking.

No -3, no BESR screened on, its not legal for play.....some bats include the comment meets High school standards, but that line is not required or judged when validating a bat....

The reason the bat must haver a screened on BESR is that for the past few years a BESR sticker was pernmitted to be on the bat....that is no longer the case....

Hope this helps.

When the Ump checks the bats before the game they look for the BESR "stamp" on the bat and if it is on there then it is allowed.

Looking for the -3, screened on BESR, flat spots on barrel and cracking. The green TPX bats are bad about cracking in the barrel.
