Runner on 2nd. Batter hits ball to F6 and runner on 2nd moves on contact. Runner bumps into F6 which results in no throw to first.

Runner is called out and batter/runner is called safe at first.

Is this correct?

Yes, the call is correct.....classic interference. The Runner must avoid the Fielder...

NFHS rule 8-4-2

... of course it is possible, in the umpires judgement, that the batter runner be declared out as well. 8-4-2-g.

Not on that play, in my judgment. I don't even have to be there.
