Wanted to know if any of you are going to the Headfirst Honor Camp first session 9th and 10th?

If you have questions about Richmond in general, I may be of help or there are a few other posters on here from this area. If you have questions about this camp specifically, I can't help you there

The first thing to notice is that Headfirst uses the word "Richmond" very loosely. Virginia Sports Complex is about 30-40 minutes north of town and is roughly half way to Fredericksburg. There are a few hotels about 5 minutes away, otherwise you might want to look in Ashland.

We usually stay in Ashland when we play at the Va Sports Complex.

Lower Fredericksburg (Massaponax area, exit 126 off of 95) would probably be about the same as Ashland distance wise. Price wise, I'd guess Ashland is probably the way to go.

Massaponax is a good idea, there are some relatively new but low-cost hotels there and the one thing we always look for -- a Cracker Barrel!

Boy, that hits close to home....when I was in college, I got several friends (we'll call them northerners) hooked on that Cracker Barrel at Massaponax. I also like the Damon's that's right there too. It's amazing whenever I'm back in that area to see how much that whole area has blown up since I graduated three years ago.

I wish it was "blown up".lol
