I don't see any reason to treat it differently fc27. Initial contact made by the player just shows the coach that there's substantial interest in the program.

Writing a "contact letter" is deffinetily a good idea. There is an "Ncaa Div. 2 State listing" on the web which list all schools by state. It's a great site because you can click on the school name and it pops up the athletics web page instantly. It's a great time saver because you can check out the baseball program first then if you like you than can look up the school for info like tuition, major, ect. A warm weather location was high up on my sons list so this site was real handy for checking out schools in Fla., Georgia, ect. I wouldn't bother filling out the questioneres because they are time consuming but instead forward a premade form/contact letter by e-mail. Sometimes it's hard to find the coaches address but it's there somewhere. (Check under Athletic Staff).

If you want a date to the prom, its best to say hello first.........

Treat any school D1, D2, D3, NAIA or JUCO the same way.........if your interested, a sincere contact is the best way to get on the radar........
