Stats mean very little when it comes to being recruited. Coaches look at what kind of tools you have. If you have good velocity, good command, etc. you will get recruited whether or not you have the stats. College coaches don't know what the players BA or ERA is before they step on campus. Summer ball is typically a better gauge of talent because the best players usually play together. Again, stats don't matter there either, most summer teams don't even keep them. Summer teams just allow players to be seen.
