The New England Catching Camp is pleased to announce it will again award one $500.00 scholarship this spring to a graduating New England High School student that has been a catcher on their high school team. This will be the 5th year that this award has been offered.

The scholarship can be applied for by either baseball or softball players. All applications received will be reviewed by a panel of NECC staff members as well as a group of individuals from business, education, and athletics.

You have been and continue to be a class act. This is the kind of tradition I'd like to see more organizations and institutions embrace. The HS baseball boosters clubs are a logic place to start and perhaps some of the club teams.

I agree. As a senior my son applied to all these scholarships through his HS,he was a good B+ , A average, but not like most of the kids that were applying.He ended up with a scholarship from the American Legion Post that he had played for Junior and Senior summers.

I will tell you that money really helped. I t covered tuition and books at his JC for the most part.I agree more people shold give out these types of schollys.They really help.
