I have been getting a lot of questionairres in the mail and one question that keeps coming up is...list other schools that are actively recruiting you. does that mean just letters, or more then that?

I often wondered that myself. I kinda figured that coaches were trying to figure out what they were up against as far as other offers and what they were going to have to top. Perhaps a coach on this site could answer that one better.

A second reason is that coaches want to know that other quality schools are looking at you. They don't want to be the only school that interest. It acts as sort of a check and balance that others see you *** they do.

So when I see that, should I say the top schools that have sent me letters?

If a top school has sent you an email or questionnaire, I would certainly list that school on any other questionnaire I fill out.

It would tend to validate to other schools that you would be a prospect worth following.

I personaly have had more success e-mailing coaches than I've had filling out questioneres. They are time consuming and I've had coaches answer e-mails after getting no responce from questioneres filled out to the same schools.
