jimbo -
College coaches value more the information they receive from a known source and/or a players performance that they have seen with their own eyes. You can get great recruiting information from this site and from asking questions on the messageboard. This approach, if you are willing to spend a little time, can be more effective, more economical and a whole lot more fun! Smile

Colleges will definately use information if the source is credible. That is the big problem, alot of recruiting services inflate 60 yard times, release times and MPH readings, so DO MOST PARENTS.

One college recruitor said "man if everyone threw 90 mph like they claim our jobs would be alot easier."

Stongly suggest reading the post from hsbbweb on 17 May 2004. Don't really believe that recruiting services are worth spending the money.

I imagine it depends on the service. i advocate a student marketing himself and contacting coaches. Inevitably they will ask for film. Make sure you put together a package that shows your skills. See some examples at http://www.athletesoftomorrow.com

It's your personal choice to pay for the recruiting service.

Yes coaches do use them but would suggest doing your homework on them, as some are a joke and some are very good.

I run a small service...there is nothing I do for you that you can't do your self. Invest your money in a good showcase. I don't give a good reccomendation just because someone pays for it, it's the only way the college coaches value your evaluation.
