Thought this might be useful for 05's. At this time last year (closing out of HS season), I was pretty darn sure what was going to happen with our son with regards to college and recruiting. I was wrong.

So, the question is...At this time last year (or for those older, at this time in son's junior HS season), my best guess at where my son would wind up in the college recruiting process was?

Choices:
Right on, exact school and everything
Close, a school on our list, but not the one I thought
Ended up at college not on our list at this time
Ended up at college not on our radar screen
Didn't work out, still searching

 

justbaseball, We had a late contact that we did not expect and it turned out to be the correct school. We solidified the deal so to speak at son's senior night game where he had a great game.

Just - what was your situation, curious as to how it has gone so far?

just...Anxiously awaiting July 1st...Planning for the summer season and the tournament in Joplin, Missouri and the Stanford camp.

Scheduled SAT II exams and one more ACT.

Whirlwind through the fall into the winter and the decision was made with the ED in mid-December.

Lots of fun.

denis - At this time last year, I thought our son was headed to a smaller D1 school. A good one, but not a national power. He had a great summer at many of the same places as Beenthere's son (Joplin, Stanford camp, etc...) and on July 1st, the very first phone call came from Stanford.

Things developed from there and he committed to them in the Fall.
